Pillbox Privacy Policy

Pillbox is a pill box for your iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad and Mac. It is built so that your medicines and supplements stay yours.

What we collect

Nothing. Aeon does not collect, receive or store any information about you or how you use Pillbox. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

Where your pill box lives

Your meds, schedules and history are stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, they are also stored in your own private iCloud database so they appear on your other devices. Only you can read that data; Aeon cannot. With Advanced Data Protection turned on in iCloud, it is end-to-end encrypted.

Camera and photos

When you photograph a pill or a medicine box, the photo is processed on your device to cut out the pill or read the label. Photos are kept in your pill box and are never sent to Aeon or anyone else.

Reminders

Lock Screen reminders, alarms, widgets and the Apple Watch app are all produced on your devices from your own pill box. Nothing is sent to a server to make them work.

Backups

A backup is a file you create and share yourself, for example to Files or by AirDrop. It contains your med list and history and is not password protected, so keep it somewhere private. Aeon never receives it.

Children

Pillbox is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.

Not medical advice

Pillbox reminds you and keeps a log. It does not give medical advice. Follow your doctor's or pharmacist's directions for what to take and when.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
